Blocking Out the Noise & Other Challenges for 3rd Party Recruiters

Blocking out the Noise and Other Challenges for 3rd Party Recruiters

Challenges for 3rd Party Recruiters

So Much Information…

Too much information, right?  So many experts openly sharing their tips for recruiting success.  Heck – that alone has become an industry that, at times, appears larger than life!

How do we sort it all out?  Which way do we go?  Well, I’ll tell ya…..let’s find the bottom line here.  Are you with me?

Stay in Business

I’m often asked “What is the top challenge agency recruiters face?”  Funny thing is, this is the same question year after year.  The answer has always been fairly obvious to me:  We need to stay in business!  How do we do that?

Bottom line for us agency recruiters?  We need to send an invoice!

Let’s take a look.  Are we paid to build our brand?  Do our clients hire us to increase our talent pipeline?  Does our “content” shared on every corner of the internet bring the value our clients pay us for?

My guess is NO.  They don’t care about your reach, your Klout score or your page views.  They want the right person on the job.  Period.

Finding the Perfect Fit

Don’t get me wrong though.  Building your database certainly increases your ability to find that “perfect fit” on a moment’s notice.  Getting in ahead of your competition is always a key and we do that by being able to connect with qualified people right away.

Here, though, is what I think is missing with many of today’s expert advice:  Are you making presentations all day?  Every day?  Right now, is the right person considering moving ahead with your client?  Is there a hiring manager considering your candidate?  Right now?  As you read this?

If your answer to BOTH of those questions is a resounding “yes“, then you’re on your way.  No?  Well then – you need to block out the noise and start making some calls.
